Stivers lost by 2,312 votes in the race, for whicn 304,378 ballots were cast, according to the secretary of state’sx office.
In a statement releasee Tuesday, Stivers said he’s going for a rematch to “put a stop to out-of-control spending, highere taxes and more debt, and instead focusx on helping Ohio encourage job creation and businesses growth hereat home.” “Wee need common-sense solutions for Ohio – that’a what I’ll bring to the job,” Stivers said.
